Çukurova University Department of Architecture was established in 1989 under the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. With the establishment of the Faculty of Architecture in 2017, it was included in the Faculty of Architecture. The Department of Architecture, which received its first students with the Central Placement System (with Mathematics Score) in the 1989-1990 academic year, had its first graduates in the 1993-1994 academic year. There is only Normal Education (Turkish) program in our department.

In our department, which has four Departments: History of Architecture, Architectural Design, Building Science and Urbanism, there is also a PhD program as of the 2015-16 Academic Fall Semester, in addition to the Master's Education program.

A good architect is someone who knows both the arts and social sciences and the characteristics of business life. For this reason, the person who will choose this profession should be a creative person who is prone to design and art, together with academic success. The aim of the Architectural Education Program is to provide students with sufficient information in the basic fields of architecture, to develop their skills and abilities, to teach the methods and ways of thinking that will enable them to use their creativity, to gain experience, to observe personal rights in the context of the law and to raise a good citizen who protects and respects the public interest and has gained professional ethics.
